| Christchurch Day Tour - Full Day - Big Five The tour starts with pick-ups from central city accommodation between 9.00 am and 9.30 am daily and visits five of Christchurch's main attractions.
1. First stop is the International Antarctic Centre, a winner of the New Zealand Tourism Board's award for 'Best Visitor Attraction'. It recreates the atmosphere of Antarctica and provides the visitor with an interactive exciting experience of this Southern Continent which very few people have the opportunity to experience first hand. 2. The tour then moves on to Willowbank Wildlife reserve where you will experience New Zealand's largest and most unique daytime Kiwi viewing area. Feed and pet unique animals throughout the reserve. The reserve contains a large variety of birds and amimal life both native and introduced. 3. Following Willowbank you will enjoy the Christchurch Tram with its 2.5km of track through the central city. The 25 minute tour includes a guide to the city's 'must see' attractions, and it is with full on-board commentary. 4. Then, in addition, you will experience the delights of the 2002 Tourism Award winning cruise with Christchurch Wildlife Cruises exploring the sights of Lyttelton Harbour and sighting Dolphins and other Marine life. 5. The tour continues with the Christchurch Gondola. Following a cable car ride to the summit the visitor will be treated to breathtaking 360 degree views of the city, Canterbury Plains, and Banks Peninsula.
The tour concludes with a drop off in the central city, or a return to the original pick up points. Tour Duration 8 hours
